About Us

Statement by Ellen C is all about style, joy, and making an entrance in wearable art. From the time I was a little girl, I have been a fashionista. As a psychiatric nurse, I wore wild vests, sweaters, and jackets over my uniform; and my statement pieces were conversation starters that helped clients open their hearts and minds to new ideas. I’ve enjoyed helping those struggling with mental illness and addiction find peace of mind and a reason to smile.

Now you can help spread joy and positivity in your own world by looking fabulous in my upcycled denim jackets and one-of-a-kind loungewear! Even better? Spread the love by giving someone a sustainable gift that won't fade like flowers or fast fashion.

Upcycling denim and more with appliqués and pins is good for the planet and for the soul. I love denim, in particular, because it's versatile, always en vogue and easy to wear. Whether upcycled or brand new, denim is the perfect canvas for creating wearable art that can go from day to night. Throw your statement jacket over jeans, your favorite little black dress or your comfy Covid loungewear, and it will set you apart from the crowd.

Not everyone wants to make the same statement. My one-of-a-kind creations reflect who you are and what you love. Statement by Ellen C is dedicated to helping you find YOUR perfect look.

At Statement by Ellen C, you are the star of the show. Whether you choose a pre-made piece or place a custom order, we will work together to make sure your Statement fits your style. Every customer is a VIP, so I source the best base piece, appliqués and embellishments for fit, fashion and fabulousness – and I go the extra mile to make sure you are thrilled with the finished product.

If you have a question or comment or would like to custom order a jacket, please reach out. I am happy to help you make a Statement!
